HOW DO I VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH THIS DRILL?
How else can you volunteer in time of need?
There are many great organizations who need volunteers.
Keep in mind that the time to volunteer is NOW.

Volunteers are so necessary, but when they show up en masse and unorganized in the immediate aftermath of a disaster, volunteers can actually be a problem. Let's prevent that in Lindon City. Volunteer now, not later.
Volunteering now with an established organization allows you to receive 1) the training you need to be effective, 2) practice responding according to proper protocols, and 3) the screening that's necessary to be sure public shelters and other areas remain safe and secure in a real event.
Please consider contacting any of the following local and national organizations so you are relevant, trained, and ready when it's time for YOU to help.

- COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM: orem.org/emergency-management/
- If you've not been CERT trained or wish to revamp your skill-set, Lindon typically refers its residents to the Orem City CERT program. There is also a program in Provo which may work better for your schedule (www.provo.org/city-services/fire-rescue/emergency-management).
- CERT provides basic training in first aid/triage, fire safety/suppression, light search and rescue, and organized medical operations. It is designed to allow neighbors to help neighbors by organizing into local teams, all the members of which have similar training.
- You can read more about the CERT program online at: http://www.fema.gov/community-emergency-response-teams
